Avery Jack Schelske has followed in his mother’s footsteps. It all started when he was an infant. On his mother Sara Evans’ 2000 album Born to Fly, Avery then an infant, can be heard laughing over the electric guitar intro to “I Keep Looking.” Today, Avery is a musician and guitarist.

Avery Jack Schelske and his sister Olivia are members of a band called “The Barker Family Band”. Avery, Olivia and their mother Sara Evans have released an album called “Sara Evans with the Barker Family Band: Live from the City Winery Nashville.” The album was reportedly inspired after Avery joined the band as a guitarist.

“When he joined the band, I just started thinking, you know, this is going to be short-lived, because he’s obviously an artist and a writer and musician and wants to have his own career and so I just kind of try to take advantage of it,” Avery’s famous mother Sara Evans said.

They released a six-song EP which includes their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s massive hit “Dreams.” Olivia and Avery selected the EP’s six songs, which include “Dreams,” a pristine cover of Beyonce’s “XO” and a gentle take on Aretha Franklin’s iconic “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”
